Description

The pneumatic arm manipulator exists in 3, 4 or 5 axes versions. The basic configuration with 3 axes combines 2 linear cylinders and a rotary cylinder, in addition to a dual-purpose tool holder including a grip and a suction cup. The 4 axes version adds a linear cylinder and the 5 axes version completes the range with a rotary cylinder for the tool holder. The cylinders used are provided with guidance systems, which allow a greater overall rigidity.

In order to regulate the speed of each axis, all actuators are provided with flow rate controllers. A control panel laid out on the same plate as the arm contains all the pneumatic valves necessary for the control of each axis as well as a vacuum generator. On the top of the panel, one finds all the electrical connections with banana type plugs and also the pneumatic connections, fast connect type, for the valves and the actuators.

Moreover, all the pneumatic actuators are provided with adjustable Reed limit switches that are connected to the control panel and are accessible via banana plugs located at the top of the control panel. The control panel is made up of four sections. The first section (SUPPLY) includes a power supply 24 VDC necessary for the settings. The second section (LIMIT SWITCH) makes it possible to use the limit switches of each actuator. The third section (SOLENOID) makes it possible to control the valves of the various actuators. The last section (CYLINDERS) supplies the pneumatic actuators with air. Finally, a communication terminal allows using the state of the sensors and to introduce control signals generated using a programmable controller.

Note that the arm manipulator is provided with its own filtration unit and compressed air regulator.
