The AFM 65 is a very robust, reliable, high-production harvester head. The AFM 65 can be mounted on both wheeled and tracked machines. Its design was conceived from the needs, demands and inputs of end-users, and incorporates the positive points of our AFM head range. AFM 65 represents the optimum combination of capacity, weight, traction force and power. What’s more, it’s an ideal cutting tool for final cuts, third thinnings and wide-wood operations. The AFM 65 features 4 independent delimbing knives for delicate delimbing and very smooth wood cutting, even on trees with large branches. The trunk is always located in the center of the four cutting rollers, enabling precise length and diameter measurements. The pressure settings of the rollers and knives on the trunk during cutting are automatically regulated according to trunk diameter, enabling the wood to be cut with optimum force and speed. The design of the AFM 65’s knives makes it easy to remove stacked logs or timber that has already been felled. The AFM 65 can work with a variety of measurement and control systems, adapting to different types of basic machine.
